This job study focuses on a project in Belton, MO on May 21st, 2018. Keith’s crew arrived at the job site and started work on foundation repair. The windows on the property were not shutting properly, and there was separation from the concrete flooring on the inside of the building too. Usually, this is a sign that the foundation is settling or that there is some sort of foundation damage.

Most of the time, doors and windows are not shutting correctly because the floor beneath them is being pushed out of its original position by either a settling foundation or some sort of foundation damage like bowing or leaning walls. Separation of flooring from the wall is also a big sign that there is a problem bigger than humidity on your hands.
Keith’s crew installed nine ECP, Earth Contact Products, 350 Piers on the west and south side of the building. Piers are driven deep into the soil where it is highly compacted and then a bracket is affixed to the foundation. The two are then attached and the weight of the building now rests on the piers. There are a few different types of piers, and what you need will depend on your specific situation. This will be discussed in detail with you during your free estimate.

After having a poor experience with a different company, we made sure we got multiple quotes for our ongoing basement flooding and foundation concerns.Matt L came out to give us our quotes and evaluate our issues which included ongoing basement flooding through our windows as well as improper grading. Fran performed a pre-listing foundation repair evaluation for my clients. He listened intently as they described the issues they were experiencing, asking questions to understand exactly how they wanted to approach the repairs. He offered 2 different options to complete the work. He spent 30 min taking measurements and preparing the estimate, then walked the homeowners through the options, associated costs and payment options. He answered any and all questions they had. The homeowners were previously so nervous about what they would hear but by the time Fran was finished, they were breathing a huge sigh of relief. They were very courteous and hard-working The young men from Kc Water Proofing from what I could tell did a very excellent efficient job on my foundation work but there were two young men. I don’t remember their names who stood out from all the men that came to work on my property. They were big husky fellas and I feel that they took the brunt, of the hard work upon themselves. And I respect that . I gave everyone a tip before they left today. I feel that those two young men deserve a better tip so I think that would allow them to have my information. They can call me and I’d like to give them a better tip . I’m not saying it wasn’t a team effort but these two fellas impressed me .
