On April 24th, 2018, KC Waterproofing and Foundation Repair and Fernando’s crew went to Raytown, MO for a waterproofing and foundation repair job. When we arrived, the crawl space was bowing inward 11 inches due to drainage issues! We obviously wanted to get this resolved as soon as possible to get the homeowners back to having a safe and comfortable home.
We installed 63 feet of exterior waterproofing to control and resolve drainage and gutter issues. We fix foundation issues from the inside and out–we want to go to the source and make sure that they are resolved. In many cases, walls will bow inwards due to hydrostatic pressure from water pushing on the foundation walls.
Next, we installed 16 plate anchors to stabilize and support the wall and make sure that any bowing was resolved. Plate anchors work to help to bow and leaning walls and to close cracks in foundation walls. The plate anchor is put in from the outside and tightened into place. Plate anchors can also be tightened over time to avoid stress on already fragile walls. There is not much mess and you can easily cover it up when finished.
When we were done, the tape measure showed the bowing wall right at 3 inches (as opposed to 11 inches earlier). Over time, the wall can be straightened even more from the inside. If we tightened it too much, too soon, we could severely damage the wall. After the job, we cleaned up the area, made sure the client was satisfied, answered any questions, and completed the job.

After having a poor experience with a different company, we made sure we got multiple quotes for our ongoing basement flooding and foundation concerns.Matt L came out to give us our quotes and evaluate our issues which included ongoing basement flooding through our windows as well as improper grading. They were efficient, thorough, and professional. They helped us look at other potential repairs based on our concerns!Our windows were replaced by Dean who did an excellent job! They look amazing. The job site got cleaned flawlessly you wouldn’t even know he was there. (2024 Job) I hired KC Waterproofing for another project after they did such a great job the first time. We had piers added to our foundation in the interior and exterior of the house. Ryan and his crew did a great job, were always on time, and cleaned up very well after themselves. Received an alarm that our pump was not working. KC Waterproofing sent out a technician, Mario V, the next day. Mario is so professional and efficient. He diagnosed the problem with our backup pump, replaced it, and got the system back online. And, everything was under warranty!

The staff at KC waterproofing were professional, knowledgable and great to work with, which helped ease my anxiety. He was not the first estimate we have gotten but he was the most impressive.Keith and Jesse arrived at the appointed time and explained what we could expect, then got started. The project took a little longer than expected because they had to go deeper than anticipated. The last day of the project brought a third guy. I regrettably did not learn his name but he performed admirably. Fran performed a pre-listing foundation repair evaluation for my clients. He listened intently as they described the issues they were experiencing, asking questions to understand exactly how they wanted to approach the repairs. He offered 2 different options to complete the work. He spent 30 min taking measurements and preparing the estimate, then walked the homeowners through the options, associated costs and payment options. He answered any and all questions they had. The homeowners were previously so nervous about what they would hear but by the time Fran was finished, they were breathing a huge sigh of relief. Bonus points for the fully transferable warranty they can include in the sale of their home.

They were very courteous and hard-working The young men from Kc Water Proofing from what I could tell did a very excellent efficient job on my foundation work but there were two young men. I don’t remember their names who stood out from all the men that came to work on my property. They were big husky fellas and I feel that they took the brunt, of the hard work upon themselves. And I respect that . I gave everyone a tip before they left today. I feel that those two young men deserve a better tip so I think that would allow them to have my information. They can call me and I’d like to give them a better tip . I’m not saying it wasn’t a team effort but these two fellas impressed me .
