For this job, we went to Overland Park, KS and Fernando’s crew were on the job. This was a foundation repair and exterior waterproofing project and these are pretty common to pair together. Instead of just fixing the foundation, at KC Waterproofing and Foundation Repair we also look to find the source of the problem. If you fix the foundation without addressing the root of the issue, you are going to get recurring problems that may be harder and harder to spot until there’s major damage due to more and more material covering it.
With this job, we installed 56 feet of waterproofing, five Plate Anchors, and eleven ECP 350 Piers. Piers are installed into a plate which supports and stabilizes them. They are then used to slowly and gently lift the foundation. Foundations should not be quickly lifted because they can sustain further damage with a dramatic change. It’s better to get the foundation as close as possible to level than to make it perfect and cause damage because of that. We also performed some crack repairs which protect against water leaking in and make the wall or foundation nicer looking overall.
Originally, the wall on the inside was bowing in quite a bit, as you can see from photos. We got that wall pulled back at least 2″ and the wall was flush with the plate on the ceiling and floor. It did, however, make the I-beams that were previously installed by another contractor come off of the wall since they were not helping hold the wall in place. We also got quite a bit of lift on the piers, too. It was really neat to see! However, it just goes to show you that you should always seek out quality foundation repair because it is not a job you should leave to chance.

After having a poor experience with a different company, we made sure we got multiple quotes for our ongoing basement flooding and foundation concerns.Matt L came out to give us our quotes and evaluate our issues which included ongoing basement flooding through our windows as well as improper grading. (2024 Job) I hired KC Waterproofing for another project after they did such a great job the first time. We had piers added to our foundation in the interior and exterior of the house. He was not the first estimate we have gotten but he was the most impressive.Keith and Jesse arrived at the appointed time and explained what we could expect, then got started. Fran performed a pre-listing foundation repair evaluation for my clients. He listened intently as they described the issues they were experiencing, asking questions to understand exactly how they wanted to approach the repairs. He offered 2 different options to complete the work. He spent 30 min taking measurements and preparing the estimate, then walked the homeowners through the options, associated costs and payment options. He answered any and all questions they had. The homeowners were previously so nervous about what they would hear but by the time Fran was finished, they were breathing a huge sigh of relief. Bonus points for the fully transferable warranty they can include in the sale of their home.

They were very courteous and hard-working The young men from Kc Water Proofing from what I could tell did a very excellent efficient job on my foundation work but there were two young men. I don’t remember their names who stood out from all the men that came to work on my property. They were big husky fellas and I feel that they took the brunt, of the hard work upon themselves. And I respect that . I gave everyone a tip before they left today. I feel that those two young men deserve a better tip so I think that would allow them to have my information. They can call me and I’d like to give them a better tip . I’m not saying it wasn’t a team effort but these two fellas impressed me .
